Prerequisites

  • A completed or in-progress portfolio in digital design (PDF or website).
  • Basic understanding of English to follow feedback.

Structure of the Session

  • Brief discussion of your goals for the portfolio (e.g., job application, freelance work, agency placement).
  • Mentor sets expectations for the session and identifies key areas of focus based on your objectives.
  • Project Review: The mentor will go through each project in your portfolio, providing feedback on:
    • Project Quality: Are the projects in your portfolio your strongest work?
    • Presentation: How well are the projects presented? Is the narrative clear?
    • Visual Design: Does the visual design (typography, layout, color, etc.) align with industry standards?
  • Live Suggestions: The mentor will suggest real-time improvements, including:
    • Adjusting the order of projects.
    • Improving visuals and descriptions.
    • Enhancing project flow and transitions.
  • A final discussion to address your specific questions or concerns.
  • Mentor provides additional resources or tips tailored to your career path (e.g., how to target specific industries or roles).
